LCDS Experience

From LCDS to the Lincoln Memorial: Fourth & Fifth Grade Singers Shine in D.C. with 300 Voices of Hope at America Sings!

On Friday, May 9th and Saturday, May 10th, sixteen Fourth and Fifth Grade Singers participated in America Sings! A Capital Celebration in Washington, D.C. They performed along with 300 students from all over the country, California, Florida, South Carolina, Illinois, Maryland, and Virginia, under the direction of composer, choreographer, and president of America Sings!, John Jacobson.

Their motto is, "Hope is the Song We Share" "To kids who feel they have no hope, from kids who have hope to share." As part of our community service, our girls collected and donated two boxes of school supplies to be shared with Title 1 Schools in Washington, D.C.

Such a fun and memorable experience watching these children perform at the Sylvan Theatre, that faces the Washington Monument, and on the steps of the Lincoln Memorial.
