Dear LCDS Families,
We are delighted to invite you to one of our most meaningful traditions, the LCDS Veterans Day Program on Tuesday, November 11, 2025. Each year, our community proudly comes together to honor the courageous men and women who have served, and continue to serve, our country.
We warmly welcome all veterans and active duty military members connected to our LCDS families, including parents, grandparents, neighbors, and friends, to join us for this special morning. Families are also invited to extend an invitation to a veteran who would enjoy being a guest speaker in their child’s class following our ceremony.
Our morning will begin at 8:15 a.m. in the Library, where veterans and families are invited to enjoy coffee and light refreshments. At 8:45 a.m., our bagpiper will lead a proud procession to the MPR for the Veterans Day Assembly, featuring our youngest students leading the Pledge of Allegiance and the Show Choir performing The Star Spangled Banner. Following the ceremony, we will return to the Library for photos and fellowship before veterans visit classrooms at 10:00 a.m. to share their stories of service. The morning will conclude with an honorary luncheon in the Music Room.
You will be proud to see how hard our students, from the youngest to the oldest, have worked to make this event so special. Their enthusiasm, dedication, and excellent rehearsals truly reflect the respect and gratitude we all feel toward our veterans.
To help us prepare, please let us know by Friday, November 1, if your family will be attending and inviting a veteran guest
by completing this RSVP form. While not required, we would greatly appreciate it if you could share a photo of your veteran or active duty guest so we may honor each visitor and recognize their service during our celebration. Please attach the picture to the form, or feel free to email the picture to
Ana.Yarbrough@lcds.org. Additional details regarding parking, entrance locations, seating, and classroom visits will be shared as the date approaches.
Thank you for helping us honor the heroes who protect our freedoms and inspire our students with their courage and service. We look forward to celebrating this wonderful day together.
With gratitude and excitement,
Dr. Michelle Odell
