Living Our Core Values This School Year
As the school year gets underway, LCDS is focusing on the choices that help every student learn, grow, and feel that they belong. Our six core values—Responsibility, Respect, Trustworthiness, Citizenship, Caring, and Fairness—guide how we treat one another and contribute to our community.
The students pictured working together in the LCDS garden offer a glimpse of these values in action. They are taking responsibility for a shared space, helping one another with the work, and caring for something they can enjoy as a community. Moments like this show that our core values are more than words: they are habits students practice every day.
This year, we will continue encouraging students to listen with respect, act with honesty, include others, and take ownership of their choices. In classrooms, on the playground, and throughout campus, those everyday actions help make LCDS a place where everyone can learn, belong, and grow.
