Young Innovators Shine at the LCDS Fifth Grade Invention Convention

Innovation and creativity were on full display at Loudoun Country Day School’s Fifth Grade Invention Convention. As part of their study of the Second Industrial Revolution, students partnered to research influential inventors and the groundbreaking ideas that helped shape the modern world.

Through engaging displays and creative models, students brought history to life—showcasing inventions such as the steel skeletal frame, the electric light bulb, and the air brake system, among many others. The convention was a wonderful celebration of curiosity, collaboration, and the impressive work of our fifth grade students.
