Another Wonderful Celebration of Traditional Chinese Culture at LCDS

Our second graders were immersed in a joyful and dynamic celebration of traditional Chinese culture as they welcomed the Chinese New Year. Through vibrant performances, meaningful traditions, and hands-on experiences, students gained a deeper appreciation for this rich cultural holiday.

A heartfelt thank you to the Koerner family for generously bringing an array of Chinese performers to campus. Students actively participated, learned about meaningful traditions, and had so much fun along the way. The excitement continued into afternoon dismissal, when a Chinese dragon wished our students luck as they exited the building — a joyful and memorable surprise.

This special experience also beautifully kicked off our Multicultural Festival on Monday. Thank you again to the Koerner family for enriching our community in such a meaningful way.
