Grandparent's Day - Noon Dismissal

We are delighted to invite our grandparents and special friends to join us on campus for our annual and cherished Grandparents & Special Friends’ Day.

To help us prepare for your visit and ensure a smooth check-in experience, we kindly ask that all guests complete the form by Friday, May 1.
This beloved LCDS tradition is a highlight of the year and a special opportunity for our students to share their school experience with those who mean so much to them. We look forward to welcoming you for a joyful morning filled with music, art, and meaningful time together in our classrooms. 

What to Expect

The morning will begin with light refreshments and snacks available in the Library starting at 8:00 AM. 
 
Concert performances will follow in the Multipurpose Room (MPR), beginning at 8:20 AM, and will continue throughout the morning:

8:20 AMPreschool and Prekindergarten
8:40 AMKindergarten and First Grade
9:20 AMSecond and Third Grade
10:15 AMFourth and Fifth Grade
11:00 AMMiddle School (Grades 6-8)
 
After each performance, guests are kindly asked to exit the MPR promptly to allow for smooth transitions between groups. We invite you to take this time to explore our student art galleries displayed throughout the hallways and grab some snacks in the Library, before visiting classrooms for special activities prepared by the students.
 

Arrival & Parking


Parking will be available in designated areas at the front and sides of the main building, as well as near the barn. Handicapped parking is located behind the MPR. Shuttle service will be available from the parking areas to the front entrance.
 
All guests are kindly asked to enter through the MPR doors if they arrive before 8:10 AM. The main entrance will be reserved for student drop-off during this time. If you arrive early, we invite you to enjoy refreshments in the Library or take your seat in the MPR. After 8:10 AM, guests may enter through the main entrance.
 

Classroom Visits


Following the concerts, guests will visit classrooms:
  • Preschool: Families will visit the classroom before heading home (students will leave with their families).
  • Early Years & Lower School: Classroom visits will take place immediately following performances.
  • Middle School: Classroom visits will be from 9:55–10:30 AM.

Dismissal Information

  • Student dismissal will begin at 12:00 PM (Early Years at 11:45 AM).
  • If your child will be leaving early with a guest, please sign them out with Mrs. Lindemeyer in the vestibule.
  • Please note that Extended Day will not be available.
 
We truly hope you will join us for this meaningful and joyful celebration. This annual tradition is always a highlight of the year, and we look forward to sharing this special day with you and your loved ones.
