September at LCDS: What a Start!

The 2025–26 school year at Loudoun Country Day School opened with a whirlwind of energy, connection, and tradition. From a warm reception for new parents to orientation sessions for new faculty, LCDS blended hospitality with preparation. Faculty Work Week brought colleagues together in collaboration, while Parent Orientations and the Popsicle Event gave families a chance to celebrate before the first day. Dr. Odell then set the tone for students in the All-School Assembly, inspiring confidence and enthusiasm for the year ahead.

Thanks to our incredible Maintenance Team, who worked tirelessly all summer, the campus was ready to shine on opening day. Carpool buzzed with excitement, students reunited with friends and teachers, and classrooms filled with curiosity. Even a few showers couldn’t dampen the energy—our student helpers kept carpool moving with cheerful determination and leadership.

As September unfolded, back-to-school nights invited parents into classrooms to meet teachers and connect with one another, strengthening the partnerships that define LCDS. These traditions have laid a foundation of community, optimism, and joy that will carry us through the year. With September behind us, the school year is already in full swing—here’s to October and all the excitement ahead!
