Model of New School by 7th Grade Art Students
Loudoun Country Day School’s art teacher Silvia Souza has inspired her students in all grades to create art that transforms the halls with a kaleidoscope of color and texture, using many mediums. Currently, seventh graders are exploring architecture in drawings and clay and are collaboratively creating a model of the new school from their perspective. The grand unveiling will occur in mid-February. This will take place within weeks of the actual groundbreaking for the new 69-acre campus that will be built off of Evergreen Mills Road projected to open fall 2009.

Geography Bee 2008
Dr. Hollister commends Mr. Beauchemin, our middle school social studies and history teacher (who also teaches math), for his inspiring educational vision and his commitment to creating a robust, stimulating, and challenging social studies program that educates our students in history, economics, political science, and geography. Our Geography Bee, which Mr. Beauchemin added to our program a number of years ago, is a shining example of our focus on and commitment to educational excellence and setting high expectations for our students.
