Loudoun Country Day School's Admission and Application

Upon request, Loudoun Country Day School sends an admissions packet to interested families, then schedules an interview and a tour of the school. Applicants for the next school year are encouraged to apply between November and March 1st in order to complete the admission process. Please download our admissions policies below for more information and apply now.

All prekindergarten applicants are administered a developmental screening test as part of the admissions process. In addition, applicants are asked to provide recommendations and transcripts (if applicable) as well as attend an Activity Session led by members of our lower school faculty.

Candidates for kindergarten through eighth grade are required to provide a recommendation, transcript and a WISC-IV evaluation which is less than one year old. The WISC-IV evaluation must have been administered by a licensed clinical psychologist. Each applicant is evaluated in math, reading, and writing during a half or full day classroom visit. Additional testing is sometimes required at the discretion of the faculty and administration.

Loudoun Country Day admits students throughout the academic year, provided we have space and the applicants are qualified. All candidates applying for acceptance during the year must visit for a day in the class for which he or she is applying. Upon completion of the admissions process, parents are notified of the decision of the Admissions Committee.

Tours are provided in a drop-in basis, Monday through Friday, 9:00-3:00.
