Loudoun Country Day School is a member of the National Association of Independent Schools, the Association of Independent Schools of Greater Washington, and the Educational Records Bureau. LCDS is accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools, an organization recognized by the Virginia State Board of Education. The school is operated by a board of trustees, most of whom are parents of current or former students or are alumni.

Loudoun Country Day School is accredited by the Virginia Association of Independent Schools (VAIS), an organization recognized by the Virginia Board of Education. VAIS is also a member of the National Association of Independent Schools (NAIS).

Loudoun Country Day School completed its most recent ten year reaccreditation process in the fall of 2003, when a VAIS Visiting Team, comprised of administrators and faculty of VAIS member schools throughout Virginia evaluated all aspects of our program. We were proud to be informed in the spring of 2004 that the Membership Committee unanimously voted to reaccredit Loudoun Country Day.
